Garden Baby!

Does it ever just drive any of you crazy when a baby is just too cute?  Well if it does don't meet Alejandra!   We spent the day with this little one trying out some very new things. Naturally as we know I have absolutely NO willpower, I have tons of files to do however I just had to peek at a few of the very first images of a newborn on the new bench in the garden.   I defy anyone to resist her I couldn't haha. 

Anyway ... I almost made the title....  She's pretty in Purple and more Perfect then any petunias!  Which she is.

I suppose I can go home and feed the dogs before I check out her hat images although it isn't easy.   A big thank you to Justine who was so willing to let me try some new things, I love it when you guys let me be 'creative'

It's Melody!

This sweet little girl loves to laugh as much as I do, and her name is Melody too!!

I want to wish all you dad's a wonderful Father's Day especially those of you experiencing it for the very first time.  The image here of Melody here reaching out, well she's reaching for Daddy!   So a very Happy Fathers Day to you Ben from your little girl.  I will tell you that no matter how old a daughter gets her dad always has a very special place in her heart.

I never thought that a three week old baby could let me photograph and play with her so long.

I had called Jennifer as she had brought Riley in for her newborn under 12 days, knowing that she would be as confident with her little girl as she was the first time, and being three weeks old makes it even harder to get them to sleep just when you want them to, however Jennifer can.   We were laughing and then going OH NO  Riley is being so incredible we are going to have a terrible time deciding!  We should always have such 'trouble'  So here are just a very 'few' of the number of images of Miss Riley in the new hats... this little three week old did promise to go feed my dogs as I'd be late editing as I was just as anxious to see the images myself.

Riley Again!!

I called Jennifer to see if she'd bring Riley down again, she's only three weeks old now so keep that in mind when you see this first image I can't believe she's three weeks, she was NOT posed, that is her 'comfy position!  I think I'll call her little Miss Hollywood Glamour Girl 

Jennifer stayed to help me decide some images for the blog, and I've decided we are both just horrid at picking one,  Riley is just adorable and looks good no matter what! LOL!    Jennifer did like this one though as it's very much Miss Riley and how she likes to have her arms.

 

Iphone and more

I love it when you guys let me know what is going on, Today Natalie reminded me the software upgrade for the iphone was out and I needed to do it.

Well Natalie I did it late this evening and OH MY GOSH!!!   I LOVE IT!!!!!!!  Have you seen that when we flip it the keyboard now does too for 'texting'  so cool, as I've gotten to where I text all the time!!  So Thank you Natalie!!   I probably would have waited for weeks or until I charge the phone with the mac which I rarely do anymore LOL!!

Oh yes and when I got home this evening I found that the new hats I had made well 4 of them anyway had arrived I can't wait to play and see which photographs best... :)  I think gosh there are a good 10 or so more coming in the next few weeks,  they are being made the woman did a rush for me making these over the last weekend.   So stay tuned to see :)

Riley has Arrived!

You might think as many newborns has I take portraits of that it would become the same, however it never does, each new baby is so very special and such an honor to take the very first portrait on their photographic journey of life.

Little Riley is so adorable, and she is absolutely precious in PINK!

Anna Rocks!

Anna was so great she let me try several of the new fabrics for maternity sessions....

The baby is due in just a few weeks however as you can tell by her arms, Anna is TINY!!   Anna looks fabulous though she absolutely GLOWS!

I had to share this one though as we both really liked the color!  Anna's coloring is great she can wear the richest of jewel tones as well.   I'll try to show some samples of other fabrics here or on the website...  http://melodybennett.com/   however I'm rather slow at updating things as most know so if your due fairly soon just  call me!

We ran out of time to experiment however if she doesn't have the baby we might try a few artistic type images as well.

New Wraps!!

There has to be something in the air, I've had so many requests for maternity sessions lately.

As most of you know I love to experiment and try new things....  so last night I was in a  shall we call it a creative mode? LOL

Anyway I went 'shopping' ok so I filled the cart and the poor woman who had to cut the fabric had a look of sheer panic as I pushed the cart up.... well until I showed her some images of what the fabric was for and within a few minutes we had a small crowd around exclaiming oh this one no that one well... ok all of them will be so great!

I ended up with uh... ok  EIGHTEEN new fabrics for wraps...  colors range from across the spectrum... laces, to lots of bridal quality satins...and some incredible textures..

Today I get to figure out just where on earth I can drape all of these for easy access and yet no overwhelm those coming in with just too many choices hehee  hey we all know I love to give you lots to chose from whether it be colors or images.

I can't wait to experiment with some of these colors!!!

Chase's Baptism

It never stops amazing me how fast all the little ones change so quickly just yesterday this little guy was a few days old and I was taking his newborn images...  Now we've done the images for his baptism invitations which will be in just a few weeks.

This one image we all just loved...

Veronica wanted an over the top invitation and I'm so thrilled she's happy with the one she chose.

Friends Celebrate

Some days the time just gets away from me and the days are simply too short to fit everything in...  I finally had a chance to look at the card sitting on my desk..

A few weeks ago a good friend of mine celebrated with her daughters wedding, I took a quick few shots of friends at the reception, many of which are nurses at San Antionio Hospital.

So ladies here you go!!  What a wonderful day, and such great people.
